ABOUT

I got my first camera when I was eight. Ever since then I photographed everything around me. Photography turned out to be more addicting than I expected.

My parents loved doing outdoor sports and so I grew up, spending most of my weekends in the mountains. This means that the camera came with me on all our activities: climbing, hiking, mountainbiking, kayaking, skiing and much more. But those activities proved to be too rough for my little point and shoot camera. After the third broken one my parents refused to get me jet another. That's when I had to safe up and get a camera myself.

But I lost it once again while hitchhiking through Norway - I was pissed at myself.

So there I was, having to safe for one more. And this time I got myself a more durable but cheap DSLR. Proud as a peacock I guarded it and even got a pouch to protect it. And the camera still exists and works today. Even after being wet for two weeks straight during a hiking trip with bad weather in Lappland and dangling from my harness in the scorching sun while climbing in Slovenia. Until now the gear changed more but the fascination of finding the best light and composition stayed the same.

During my studies I was asked to photograph the wedding of a fellow student. Simply because I had a camera. It turned out, that I really liked the challenges of photographing a wedding. So much stuff going on, so many great moments to capture and there is free food and everybody is happy.

From this first wedding on, I got the chance to photograph quite a bunch of weddings and I had a ton of fun doing it.

Well and then corona struck and I decided to focus on my masters degree. And that's where I am now.

So there you go. That's my story from my perspective.

...cheers!
